The only 'Way' the Creator has made to connect with Him is through the acknowledgement of 'TRUTH' - which is of what His Son, Jesus Christ did on earth - that He came, died, rose and is coming back again (John 14:6). This is the gospel. Believing the gospel gives you LIFE ,eternal life. Because the Holy Spirit begins to live in you and this is what it means to be born again. When one is born again, he is she is a baby in Christ and God does not desire for us to remain a baby in Him because He wants us to fulfil our wholistic purpose (of knowing Him and making Him known). There is a limit to what a baby can do or can know. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3). For you to make God known you need to keep knowing Him - that is growing in Him. To know God is to grow in Him You need to grow.
Growing in God is achieved to 'intentionally' putting yourself in the journey that will make you know God, which will cumulate into helping you reflect the perfect image of Christ and live His life_ as it was in the beginning (2 Corinthians 3:18, Genesis 1:26-27). Growth is not accidental, Growth is not a coincidence, Growth is Intentional. To grow from an infant to a 'healthy' toddler, preschooler, teenager, adult - you or your parents have to be intentional with decisions that is made for this milestones to be met. There is so much to know in Christ and so much to do on earth - that is why growth is essential if you want to fulfil your purpose on earth.
